20 Days Before You Send Any Marketing

A fresh SIM card has zero trust score with WhatsApp. If you start blasting messages on day one, you will be banned within hours. You must build trust first — the same way a real person would naturally use the app. There are no shortcuts to this step.

Your 20-Day Warmup Plan

  • Day 1 – 3

    Register and set up your profile. Add a real profile photo, name, and status. Message 2–3 close contacts naturally. Do not send any bulk or promotional message.

  • Day 4 – 10

    Build daily activity. Use the app every single day — reply to messages, join 1–2 groups, send voice notes occasionally. WhatsApp tracks session frequency.

  • Day 11 – 17

    Increase contact depth. Save more numbers, sync contacts, send and receive media. Update your status regularly. Your account should look fully active and personal.

  • Day 18 – 20

    Final trust-building phase. Continue daily usage. After day 20 you can start marketing — but start slow: 20–30 messages per day and scale up week by week.

  • Save all numbers to phone contacts at least 24 hours before you plan to message them

Groups Will Get You Banned

Adding strangers to WhatsApp groups without their knowledge or consent is one of the most reported actions on the platform. When someone gets added to a group they never agreed to join, they have one very easy option — tap "Report" before they leave. A small number of reports is enough to trigger a ban review. This is not a theoretical risk. It happens constantly to marketers who use group-adding tools.

  • Unknown contacts can report instantly When added to a group without consent, the first thing most people do is report and leave. Multiple reports = immediate ban risk.

  • Group adder tools are flagged automatically WhatsApp detects automated group-adding behaviour. These tools have a very short lifespan before the number is banned.

  • Even small groups carry the risk You don't need to add hundreds of people. Even adding 20–30 unknowns to a group can generate enough reports to lose your account permanently.

Your past buyers, registered users, and people who enquired before are already warm. They know your business and they won't report you as a stranger. Export your customer list, save contacts, warm up your number, and do targeted follow-ups on offers, updates, or new products. This consistently outperforms cold outreach.

Bulk Unknown Number Lists — Very High Risk

Purchased number lists, scraped contact databases, or any list of people who have never interacted with your brand are extremely high risk. These people have no reason to trust you, they will report your messages as spam, and WhatsApp will ban your number quickly. Even if some numbers are valid, the report rate from unknowns is high enough to destroy your account. Avoid completely.
